On your way to your hike, Stop in at Gertie’s Country Store and grab a picnic lunch. It will be great to enjoy a lunch at the top of Crabtree Falls or at Yankee Ridge..
Another Fall favorite is apples. Silver Creek & Seaman’s Orchard is located in the Blue Ridge close to us and the hiking trails. They have pick your own apples as well as apples picked that are available for purchase from September through November.
