Located on the second floor, the room is lined with five large east-facing windows that fill the space with soft sunlight. From here, guests enjoy peaceful views overlooking the garden, with the mountains rising quietly in the distance.
The room’s deep purple palette adds a layer of richness and intimacy, echoing the depths of its namesake wine.
In the spacious bathroom, an oversized jacuzzi tub and shower combination offers the perfect place to relax and recharge whether you’re starting your day slowly or winding down in the evening.

The property of the B&B was very nice and the interior was beautifully decorated and inviting. There were nice little touches throughout our stay like the delicious homemade cookies to welcome us, the Keurig machine for coffee/tea/cocoa any time of day, the basket of snacks, and the fridge with water and soda. My husband and I stayed in the Cab Franc room. All of the amenities made our "couples getaway" very romantic. We enjoyed the robes, fireplace, comfy bed, and jacuzzi tub. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were friendly and helpful.

Underfoot, a hand woven jute rug brings warmth and organic texture to the room, grounding the space in understated comfort and natural beauty.Â
The bathroom is a luxurious interpretation of a 1920’s design, blending vintage character with modern comfort. A large walk-in tiled shower features dual rain showerheads for a spa like experience, enclosed by a barn door-style sliding glass door that adds both function and architectural interest. A striking retro console sink with a chrome base completes the space, offering a nod to classic design while maintaining a clean, elevated feel.Â

What a beautiful place to get away for a couple of days! The room was immaculate and super comfy, and the breakfasts were delicious.

The room’s character is deeply rooted in its history. Original vintage blue wallpaper, preserved from the early days of the property, envelops the space in a sense of heritage, while a striking blue oriental rug adds depth, texture, and richness underfoot. Every detail contributes to an atmosphere that feels both storied and inviting.Â
The bathroom continues the experience with an oversized jacuzzi tub and shower combination, designed for long, restorative soaks that complement the room’s romantic ambience. With its blend of historic charm, layered textures, and cozy elegance, the Shenandoah Room offers a stay that feels intimate, distinctive and deeply connected to the history of the Manor house.
We typically stay at a bed and breakfast once or twice a year in the area and by far this was the best. All the amenities and attention to detail as well as the amazing food make it the greatest B&B to us. Unlike many, they offer options for breakfast as well between sweet and savory! We were advised on some places to see and where to eat which were definitely on point. There's lots to do on the property which we needed a longer stay for, but the pool area looked amazing and there's a creek on the property and even a pond and trails. Oh, and a fire pit. We will be back to explore those.

We had a wonderful stay at this bed and breakfast Inn. The location is close by one of the entrances to the Blue Ridge Parkway, as well as about 20 minutes away from towns with various dining and historic sites. The Inn itself is beautifully decorated. The rooms are very clean with comfortable beds, and most have jacuzzi tubs. It was nice to wander the grounds in the evening and see the stream and pond (which apparently you can fish out of!) and there is a firepit and pool. There are plenty of books to read in the parlor. Breakfasts were absolutely delicious! We are looking forward to another stay in the fall! Thank you so much Sandra and staff!

What a lovely, welcoming place! Beautifully appointed rooms with a wine theme, period furniture and modern conveniences. You get a delicious full breakfast cooked to order from a sweet or savory option. Innkeeper Sandra was gracious and informative and can help you to find things to do in the area. There's a swimming pool, several decks and patios to relax on, acres to stroll or picnic on, and Sandra will provide a bottle of wine and charcuterie for your picnic if you didn't bring your own. It is very quiet and relaxing and a perfect place to wind down after a long drive and meeting.

The bathroom has been fully updated with timeless tile work and a sleek stand up shower, creating a spa like experience that feels luxurious and restorative.
From nearly every corner of the suite, you’ll enjoy serene views of the surrounding landscape: the Inn’s garden in bloom, the inviting hot tub deck, and, beyond it all, the soft outline of mountains in the distance. It’s a space designed not just for rest, but for slowing down and savoring the quiet beauty of your surroundings.
The inn is immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. The bathroom amenities are premium. The bed is very comfortable. The hot breakfast is delicious and a large portion. Innkeeper Sandra and her staff are top-notch. I love the location (halfway between Staunton and Lexington). Please consider staying here!
