A winter visit to both the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Shenandoah Valley may not be at the top of mind when it comes to cozy places to retreat this winter – but when you factor in our luxury Shenandoah Valley cabins in Virginia, there’s truly no better place to whisk your sweetheart away for a few days. Our Shenandoah Valley cabins in Virginia are truly a one-of-a-kind getaway. Though we love something about this beautiful part of the world in every season of the year, there’s something special about the winter season.
Winter on the Blue Ridge Parkway is quiet and far less crowded than fall when it feels like the entire country is out for a scenic drive through these fabled mountains. Once the leaves fall for the season and a powdery white blanket of snow falls on them, it’s also exceptionally beautiful – in an entirely different way than the bright blaze of color so popular in fall. Whether you want to get out and enjoy a winter hike or snowshoe, or your idea is a cozy afternoon curled up by the fire, you can enjoy it all here at our luxury Shenandoah Valley cabins in Virginia.
Our luxury cabins in Virginia are the perfect couples’ getaway. They’re on the same property as our Bed and Breakfast in Virginia but nestled in their own scenic part of our 50-acre property. They offer an intimate vacation, perfect for couples looking to relax, unplug, and ease the stress of an often busy life. This winter, leave the world behind and embrace the quiet solitude of our luxury cabins in Virginia. Book your cabin getaway today!

- Hiking is always on our list of things to do in the Shenandoah Valley, and winter is still a great time to explore local trails! Consider heading to Shenandoah National Park or head to the Blue Ridge Parkway for our favorite local hike, Crabtree Falls. There are plenty more in Staunton and Lexington, too.
- Once the snow hits the ground, many of these trails open up for Nordic skiing and snowshoeing. It’s one of the most tranquil things to do in the Shenandoah Valley, and a favorite place for it is The Peaks of Otter area on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
- Scenic drives aren’t just great in the fall – they’re completely different but just as beautiful in the winter! Head to Shenandoah National Park and enjoy Skyline Drive without the busy crowds, or explore the northern stretches of the famed Blue Ridge Parkway. There are plenty of things to do in both areas and with no leaves on the trees, you’ll enjoy views you wouldn’t otherwise get to see.
- Enjoy the historic charms of downtown Staunton as you hop from one fantastic boutique to the next. It’s a great place to pick up one-of-a-kind gifts for the holidays. Don’t miss the chance to dine at some of the best restaurants in Staunton – it’s a top-rated foodie town!
- Like Staunton, exploring downtown Lexington is one of our favorite things to do in the Shenandoah Valley.
- Winter is also an excellent time to visit some of our local Shenandoah Valley wineries in Virginia. One of our favorites is Rockbridge Vineyard & Brewery.
