The Best Blue Ridge Parkway Bed and Breakfast

The Blue Ridge Parkway is one of the most breathtaking and iconic drives in the entire country – so much so that it’s earned the moniker “America’s Favorite Drive.” Just a few miles on this road, and it’s easy to see why – and it’s yours for the taking when you stay with us at our Blue Ridge Parkway Bed and Breakfast

Our Blue Ridge Parkway Bed and Breakfast is a short drive from the northern Terminus of the drive, which travels 469 incredible miles connecting Shenandoah National Park and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The Blue Ridge Parkway is one of the most popular drives to take during fall foliage season – offering some of the best fall foliage views around – but it’s just as gorgeous to drive throughout the rest of the year, too, and arguably less crowded!

Once you’ve enjoyed driving and exploring along the Blue Ridge Parkway, we invite you to spend a few more days relaxing in luxury in the Shenandoah Valley. There’s no better place to do that than our Blue Ridge Parkway Bed and Breakfast. We offer five traditional guest rooms in our traditional Manor House Bed and Breakfast and five private vacation cottages throughout the remaining 50 acres of our property. Whichever accommodations feel right to you, you’ll find our Blue Ridge Parkway Bed and Breakfast offers the perfect intimate getaway for couples.  Book your room at our Blue Ridge Parkway Bed and Breakfast today!

The Best Blue Ridge Parkway Bed and Breakfast

The Blue Ridge Parkway really is just one of the many great reasons to stay with us at our Blue Ridge Parkway Bed and Breakfast. There’s so much to love about the greater Shenandoah Valley, not least of which is the area’s stunning natural beauty. That is, of course, why everyone who travels through this part of the country falls in love with it and returns for getaways repeatedly. Whatever it is that brings you to the area, there’s truly no better place to stay than our Blue Ridge Parkway Bed and Breakfast, located near the charming and historic towns of Staunton and Lexington, Virginia.

Though there are plenty of places to stay throughout the Shenandoah Valley, none compare to the luxury and ambiance you’ll find at our Blue Ridge Parkway Bed and Breakfast. As you drive onto our property and approach our stately Manor House, built in 1916, you’ll begin to feel what sets us apart from our competition. The Manor House itself is gorgeous, harking back to a time when things were simpler, but it’s also surrounded by 50 acres of outstanding beauty and quiet tranquility. You’ll enjoy picturesque views of the Blue Ridge and Allegheny Mountains from various points on our property.

Despite the space and grandeur of our Blue Ridge Parkway Bed and Breakfast, we offer just five well-appointed guest rooms, ensuring you’ll have plenty of time and space to unwind, free of the crowds you’d find at larger properties and hotels. Each guestroom has been tastefully and thoughtfully decorated and features queen or king beds, gas or electric fireplaces, luxurious robes and linens, and thoughtful amenities. Some also include jacuzzi tubs for those added moments of bliss.

A highlight of every stay at our Blue Ridge Parkway Bed and Breakfast is the daily breakfast that’s made fresh for you. Our breakfasts use as many local and seasonal ingredients as possible. We’re also happy to accommodate vegan, vegetarian, lactose intolerant, and other dietary restrictions to the best of our ability with at least 24 hours notice.

Things to do on the Blue Ridge Parkway

Whether you specifically come to town to see fall foliage on the Blue Ridge Parkway or exploring this beautiful part of the country is an added bonus to your stay at our Blue Ridge Parkway Bed and Breakfast, you’ll find there’s plenty worth exploring in the area. Fall colors in this area are truly spectacular and it’s never too early to plan. Fall foliage usually reaches peak color in mid to late October and often lasts well into the first week of November.

Whenever you travel, there are plenty of things to do on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Below, we’ve listed a few of our favorite things to do on the Blue Ridge Parkway whether now or in the fall.

  1. One of our favorite things to recommend to guests, which also happens to be one of the best things to do on the Blue Ridge Parkway, is to hike Crabtree Falls. Though there are plenty of great waterfalls on the Blue Ridge Parkway, this one is the closest and one of our favorites!
  2. Other great waterfalls to visit on the Blue Ridge Parkway include White Rock Falls, Wigwam Falls, Apple Orchard Falls, and Fallingwater Cascades.
  3. Peaks of Otter, pictured above, is one of the most popular destinations along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Hike to the top of Sharp Top Mountain, and you’ll enjoy a spectacular 360-degree view of the Blue Ridge  Parkway. Another great trail in the area is the Johnson Farm Trail, which takes you to a historic farm from the 1880s restored to its 1930s condition.
  4. You don’t have to have a destination in mind to enjoy your time on this beautiful stretch of road. One of our favorite ways to spend a day on the Blue Ridge Parkway is to take one of the many scenic drives in the area.
  5. Take a hike at At the Humpback Gap Overlook at Milepost 6. The Humpback Rocks Trail is a 7.8-mile roundtrip hike that will take you to Humpback Rocks, Humpback Mountain, and the Humpback Rocks Picnic Area.
  6. Visit Natural Bridge State Park, which is home to one of the world’s seven natural wonders. It’s home to an impressive 215-foot tall Natural Bridge that formed when Cedar Creek eroded through this limestone gorge.
  7. Another great natural attraction on the Blue Ridge Parkway is Natural Chimney Regional Park. It is home to up to 120 feet rock formations.
  8. Hike to the highest point on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia and enjoy breathtaking views of the Shenandoah Valley stretching out before you at Apple Orchard Mountain Overlook at Milepost 76.5.

Of course, above all else, be sure to reserve some downtime at our #1-rated Blue Ridge Parkway Bed and Breakfast.  From winter through fall, it’s the best place to stay and enjoy the Shenandoah Valley. Book your room today!
