- Whenever a guest asks us for a local winery recommendation, our go-to is Rockbridge Vineyard and Brewery. It’s one of the top vineyards in Virginia, and for good reason! Their award-winning wines are delicious, but we love this spot just as much for their regular live music performances and other fun events. Their fall harvest festival in October is also a not-to-miss experience!
- We also love a wine tasting at Ecco Adesso Vineyards in Fairfield. It’s only seven miles from our cabins and features delicious Tuscan-style wines and ciders.
- For more Tuscan-style wines representing Virginia’s best, head to Crosskeys Vineyards near Harrisonburg. You’ll also enjoy a panoramic view of the Blue Ridge Mountains from here.
- Discover one of the many hidden gem vineyards in Virginia and visit our friends at Barren Ridge Vineyards in Fishersville. Like so many things in the Shenandoah Valley, this winery is a family-run operation that truly showcases the area’s unique terroir.
- Don’t miss Jump Mountain Winery. It’s located near Lexington and is a lesser-known spot that showcases some distinctive and delicious wines, not to mention the beautiful scenery characteristic of the Shenandoah Valley.
- Finally, don’t miss Great Valley Farm, one of the many vineyards in Virginia that has earned a reputation for its craft brews and fantastic wines, in a picturesque setting that is both rustic and intimate.
These delightful Shenandoah Valley wineries in Virginia aren’t the only places to enjoy good wine and a taste of the Shenandoah Valley. Head to downtown Staunton, and you’ll find several fantastic wine bars, including OX Eye Vineyards, Yelping Dog Wine, and Accordia Wine Bar. We also recommend The City Foxes Wine Bar in Waynesboro, about 25 minutes from our cabins.
