When you turn into the driveway of a professionally run Bed & Breakfast, you notice how manicured the lawn looks and how nice all the flowers are planned and maintained. When you enter the main entrance, you will notice how welcoming the interior of the manor house is and how warm and friendly the hosts are. When you enter your guest room, you notice the special touches in the room – the way the pillows are fluffed, the fresh flowers on the side table, and how everything is sparkling clean! At breakfast time, you notice how all the place settings are set just perfectly. And when breakfast arrives at your table, the presentation is beautiful (you almost don’t want to touch it), the aromas are mouth-watering, and the flavors of the breakfast food are simply delicious!
All of these facets of your Bed & Breakfast stay do not happen by magic!
Let’s go “behind the scenes” at Steeles Tavern Manor B&B and Alpine Hideaway Cottages to make your stay all you need and more than you expected.
The beautiful drive onto our property is the result of landscaping work done by Lee. Lee is our painter, lawn mowing person, gardener, and all-around handyman. He works the outdoor magic!
Your luxurious guest room sparkles because our housekeepers, Shirley, Brittany, and Marianne, are working their magic too. The rooms are thoroughly cleaned when each guest checks out but the rooms are “deep cleaned” each quarter! That means four times per year, all molding and baseboards are wiped, furniture is moved for cleaning, draperies are vacuumed, and windows are made to sparkle. All this cleaning occurs “behind the scenes” but the magic shows in the room. The luxurious linens do not clean themselves! The sheets sweet-smelling and crisp and the towels are soft and fluffy all because Louise is managing the laundry magic. She also assists in the kitchen on busy weekends.
While you, the guest, are out for dinner or even after you retire to your room, Ray is working “behind the scenes” in the dining room setting the table for breakfast. As he sets the places, he is double-checking for watermarks and making sure all the napkins are folded just right!
And breakfast preparation begins the night before you get to enjoy the most important meal of the day. Melissa is in the kitchen chopping veggies for a tasty frittata or cutting fruit for the breakfast parfait before she turns in for the night.
When the sun rises, Ray is back in the kitchen preparing delicious locally-roasted coffee. You can really wake-up and smell the coffee!
And after you savor the aroma of coffee, you begin to catch the wonderful scents of breakfast cooking. Is that some bacon from the local farm? Do you smell pastries made from the local mill’s wheat flour baking in the oven? All this preparation happens “behind the scenes” – in the kitchen.
When “it’s show time” (time to come out from “behind the scenes”), you, our special guest, reap the benefit of all the background work! Enjoy the beautiful grounds, feel welcome in a well appointed and sparkling clean room, and after a wonderful night’s rest, fill-up on a delicious breakfast where all the preparation was started “behind the scenes”.
The perfect guest experience does not happen by magic – it’s special “behind the scenes” activity of a great team of staff and innkeepers! Make your reservation now to experience the magic of stay at Steeles Tavern Manor B&B and Alpine Hideaway Cottages.
